Diastasis Rehab Continuing Education

Professionals working with women during and after pregnancy need to be familiar with the changes a woman’s body experiences during pregnancy. They need to have an awareness of the normal as well as the abnormal changes and the anatomical reasons for them. This knowledge is crucial to planning, implementing and evaluating a fitness program.

TUPLER TECHNIQUE

The Tupler Technique, an exercise program created specifically for diastasis recti, will be taught in this course. The Tupler Technique for abdominals has been compared to the Kegels for the pelvic floor.   

This technique is the only research-based (Columbia University Dept of Physical Therapy) exercise program that will make the diastasis smaller no matter when or how the diastasis was created. Professionals will learn the 4 steps of this unique new program and how this program can be incorporated into other exercise routines as well as activities of daily living.
